Privacy Policy — SBL Social Agent

1. About this app

The SBL Social Agent ("the App") is an internal automation tool operated by SBL Ventures, a laundromat operator. The App is used solely by SBL Ventures staff to draft and publish marketing content, monitor public engagement, and respond to customer comments on social media accounts (Facebook Pages, Instagram Business accounts, and Google Business Profiles) that SBL Ventures owns and operates for its own laundromat locations. The App does not provide any service to end users of those platforms.

2. Information we collect

The App collects and stores only the minimum information necessary to publish and engage with content on social media accounts owned by SBL Ventures:

The App does not collect personal information from members of the public beyond what is publicly visible alongside their comments on SBL Ventures' own Pages. The App does not contact commenters through any private channel (such as Facebook Messenger or email); replies are posted only as public comments back on the same thread, by the SBL Ventures Page, after review and approval by an authorized SBL Ventures team member.

All credentials and tokens are stored on a private server operated by SBL Ventures. Access to that server is restricted to authorized SBL Ventures personnel. Tokens are not stored in plain text in version control and are not transmitted to third parties.

SBL Ventures does not sell, rent, or share the information collected by the App with any third party. The App communicates only with the official APIs operated by Meta Platforms, Inc. and Google LLC, and only for the purposes described in this policy.

6. Data retention and deletion

Access tokens are retained only for as long as the App needs them to operate. When SBL Ventures stops using a particular Page, Instagram account, or Business Profile location, the corresponding tokens and identifiers are removed from the App's storage.

Comment data (text, commenter name, commenter user ID, and post ID) is retained for up to 90 days for the purpose of avoiding duplicate replies and maintaining a record of staff response activity, and is then automatically deleted. Comment data is never used to build profiles, contact commenters off-platform, or for any purpose other than enabling SBL Ventures staff to respond to comments on their own Pages.

If you are a Facebook user and would like the App to delete data it holds about a comment you posted on one of SBL Ventures' Pages, please email the contact address below with the URL of the comment in question. We will remove the corresponding record from the App's storage within 30 days. Note that this does not affect the comment itself on Facebook, which remains under your control through Facebook's own settings.

7. Children's privacy

The App is an internal business tool and is not directed at children. It does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children under the age of 13.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the App's functionality changes. The "Last updated" date at the top of the page reflects the most recent revision.
